Verde Structures was founded by an immigrant from a small farm town in Mexico — someone who didn’t just grow up around agriculture, he lived it. Fields, tools, long days, and the kind of hands-on work that teaches you early what quality really means. When he eventually made his way to San Diego, that upbringing didn’t fade. It turned into a lifelong passion for building, gardening, and creating outdoor spaces with purpose.

What started as simple backyard projects — repairing fences, building garden beds, and crafting small shade structures — slowly evolved into something much bigger. The first real build came from necessity: a handmade greenhouse framed from aluminum rails and polycarbonate sheets, engineered to survive coastal winds and the hot California sun. It wasn’t fancy, but it was solid. Reliable. Something built with the same mindset passed down on the ranch back home: if you’re going to build it, build it to last.

Inside that greenhouse lived an ever-growing collection of plants — desert species, fruiting plants, ornamentals, and everything in between. The structure became a workshop, a test site, a proving ground for designs that could withstand weather, time, and constant use. Every hinge, every panel, every joint was tested, adjusted, improved.
